Ella Eats Pineap­ple Ha­banero Jam Time to move on from the pineap­ple­son-pizza de­bate and look for­ward to pineap­ples and ha­banero pep­pers. It was pure hap­pen­stance when Maui Reyes of Ella Eats de­cided to sell pineap­ple ha­banero jams. “Aside from bak­ing, I like gar­den­ing, and I started to grow ha­baneros at home for fun. I ended up hav­ing so many pep­pers and had to do some­thing with them, so I made jam.” Her ac­ci­den­tal prod­uct be­gan re­ceiv­ing pos­i­tive feed­back from friends and fam­ily and soon enough, on­line or­ders came in. Ev­ery­thing is sourced from her home but she grows her ha­banero pep­pers out­side now that the de­mand has grown. The jam makes for the per­fect condi­ment for roasts or a sim­ple spread on bread.
