Making It Count
HALF THE YEAR HAS ZOOMED PAST US. Do we have anything to show for it? Resolutions have probably long been forgotten, and the doldrums have possibly set in after the high of summer and the arrival of the gloomy rainy season. Is there nothing to do but trudge on to the 2017 finish line?
Of course not! A year isn’t marked merely by sunny seasons or holidays. If all you have to look forward to for the rest of the year is Christmas, then it’s time to shake things up a bit. Every day is a chance to make this year count. Annoyed that you still haven’t lost the puson you swore you would lose this year? Our four-week gut makeover (page 30) can help you get on the right track. Bank account still hasn’t recovered from paying for tuition? We go into the heart of the matter, so to speak, and help you figure out if your emotions are wrecking your financial life (page 56). Suffering from a severe lack of sleep with the kids’ early-morning school routine? You don’t have to look it—you can face each day for the rest of the year looking super fresh (page 38)!
It’s not just another day, another week, another month. All those seemingly mundane days add up to make up a potentially amazing year. You can still make it your best one yet! Tisha Alvarez EDITOR IN CHIEF facebook.com/goodhousekeeping.ph
