Ford joins forces with uber for 10th year of Driv­ing skills for Life Pro­gram

Co­in­cid­ing with the na­tion­wide im­ple­men­ta­tion of the Anti-dis­tracted Driv­ing Act, Ford Philip­pines to­gether with the lo­cal sub­sidiary of car-hail­ing com­pany uber pi­loted the 10th year of the Ford Driv­ing skills for Life (DSFL) pro­gram.

Con­ducted glob­ally, the DSFL pro­gram is a united Na­tions-rec­og­nized train­ing ini­tia­tive which aims on ed­u­cat­ing drivers on smart, safe, and fu­el­ef­fi­cient driv­ing to min­i­mize road ac­ci­dents. In­struct­ing more than 20,000 Filipinos since its launch in 2008, the said pro­gram also re­ceived a Platinum award for the road safety cat­e­gory in this year’s Driven to serve Awards of the so­ci­ety of Philip­pine Mo­tor­ing Jour­nal­ists (SPMJ).

This year’s kick-off event held at the Me­ga­tents Event Cen­ter in Libis, Que­zon City par­tic­i­pated by around 200 uber drivers from Metro Manila hosted a class­room-type ses­sion fol­lowed by a hands-on ac­tiv­ity lead by JP tu­a­son of tu­a­son Rac­ing school, Ford’s long-time part­ner for the DSFL pro­gram. the top­ics in­clude a re­minder on ve­hi­cle main­te­nance, road safety mea­sures, as well as a re­cap of the Anti-dis­tracted Driv­ing Act.
