Ford joins forces with uber for 10th year of Driving skills for Life Program
Coinciding with the nationwide implementation of the Anti-distracted Driving Act, Ford Philippines together with the local subsidiary of car-hailing company uber piloted the 10th year of the Ford Driving skills for Life (DSFL) program.
Conducted globally, the DSFL program is a united Nations-recognized training initiative which aims on educating drivers on smart, safe, and fuelefficient driving to minimize road accidents. Instructing more than 20,000 Filipinos since its launch in 2008, the said program also received a Platinum award for the road safety category in this year’s Driven to serve Awards of the society of Philippine Motoring Journalists (SPMJ).
This year’s kick-off event held at the Megatents Event Center in Libis, Quezon City participated by around 200 uber drivers from Metro Manila hosted a classroom-type session followed by a hands-on activity lead by JP tuason of tuason Racing school, Ford’s long-time partner for the DSFL program. the topics include a reminder on vehicle maintenance, road safety measures, as well as a recap of the Anti-distracted Driving Act.
