Fujitsu bolsters connectivity in five Xavier University-ateneo de Cagayan campuses
Xavier University–ateneo de Cagayan has formally established its partnership with Fujitsu Philippines to boost the connectivity in all of its five campuses across Cagayan de Oro City as the university gears toward the distinction of being a smart digital campus. this announcement came after relying on the solutions provider which played the vital role in implementing Xavier University’s ICT infrastructure plans since the campus first laid its backbone in 2009.
this partnership is part of Xavier-ateneo’s initiative that involves digital learning in accordance to its vision of becoming “A leading ASEAN University forming leaders of character by 2033.” Xavier University’s Computing and Information Services Office (CISO) Computing and Network Services Unit Head Fren marlon b. peralta stated that the upgrade has aided XU in boosting the capabilities of its network in which they are looking at an 8-15 year cycle.
“Our next steps are now focused on the optimization of the converged campus network infrastructure, especially now that we are moving toward an online campus setup. All of the student services like admissions and enrollment, as well as student evaluation and assessment, are now accessible online,” said peralta.
