Kapampangan, Bicolano bag ‘Misters’ titles

Astudent from Mabalacat, Pampanga, bested 23 other aspirants in the 2017 Misters of Filipinas contest and received the title Mister International Philippines at the final ceremonies staged on Saturday evening at One Esplanade in Pasay City.

Raven Renz Lansangan earned the right to represent the Philippines in the Mister International contest, the same tilt won by Filipino cop Neil Perez in 2014.

Raven , who studies Business Administration at the Holy Angel University in Angeles City, bagged the coveted national title with the help of his response in the crucial interview round, where he vowed to give his future children a stable family, as a tribute to his parents.

He was also proclaimed Best in Ethnic Wear ang Mister Skin Philosophie.

During the final round of competition, Raven was asked to share the most important lesson he learned from his parents..

“My parents never left me behind,” he said, adding that he will share the same kind of love and care with his future children, like what he received from his parents.

Meanwhile, the 2017 Man of the World Philippines title went to nurse Clint Peralta from Camarines Sur.

When asked what for him is a “well-balanced” life, he gave his own life as an example, because he is “contented and happy” with what he has.

He will represent the country in the 2018 Man of the World contest which will be held in the Philippines.

Clint was also hailed as Best in Formal Wear, Mister Photogenic and People’s Choice.

Fellow nurse Yves Campos from the Filipino community in Hawaii bagged the Mister Supranational Philippines title and will compete in Poland in December.

He was also proclaimed Mister Coco Line.

Another representative from the overseas Filipino community, Rubi Kust from Germany, was proclaimed 2017 Man of the Year Philippines, and will participate in the international arena in Indonesia in 2018.

He also received the Mister Personality award.

Crowed favorite Carlo Pasion from Laoag City was proclaimed 2017 Mister Ocean Philippines. He was also received the Best in Talent, Mister Anytime Fitness and Miissosology’s Choice awards.

Ion Perez from Capas, Tarlac, received the last title.

He was proclaimed 2017 Mister Universe Tourism Philippines, but it was not clear if he will participate in this year’s international competition which will be held in the Philippines.

Ion was also proclaimed Best in Swimwear, Mister Elevatione and Mister Critical Beauty.

Raven received P100,000, while Clint got P150,000. The four other titlists each received P50,000.

Jonathan Maniquis from San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, and John Joseph Hipolito from the Filipino community of Italy finished as first and second runners up, respectively.

Maniquis, a returning contestant, was also voted by his fellow candidates as Mister Congeniality.
