BALO-I, Lanao del Norte—Nanawagan si Vice President Leni Robredo noong Lunes ng pagkakaisa bilang tugon sa sigalot sa Marawi City.

“It’s really difficult because we do not have a united front,” sinabi niya sa mga reporter. “More than any other time in our country today, this is the time we need to show that we are one.”

Ilang oras si Robredo sa Al Markhazie Islamic Institute kung nasaan ang 1,500 bakwit mula Marawi. Ito ang pangalawang pagdalaw niya sa isang evacuation center, kasunod ng biyahe sa Iligan City noong nagdaang buwan.

Sinabi ni Robredo na nais niyang maniwalang ginagawa ng militar ang lahat ng makakaya upang tuldukan ang sigalot laban sa Maute terrorist group, at habang hindi pa natatapos ang lahat, “everybody should do his or her share to help.”

“Everyone can help. We’re thankful though that there are private citizens who are helping on the problem of evacuation,” dinagdag niya.
