LRT 2: KATIPUNAN STATION

P500 budget hanggang saan makararating?

Inquirer Libre - - FRONT PAGE - Ni Djan Magbanua @inquirer_libre

1

Nathaniel's Bakeshop 221 Brgy Milagrosa Katipunan Ave.

We tried Nathaniel's Bakeshop na best known for its Buco Pandan (ice cream na salad). Must try ang kanilang pork puto pao at black gulaman in a bottle.

Gastors: P150 (Puto pao, 6 pieces worth P100 & black gulaman P50)

2

Kopi Roti Brgy. Blueridge Katipunan Ave.

Sawa na sa mga mamahaling kape na nakakasira ng budget, then try mo na itong kape ng Kopi Roti, basically Singaporean coffee mixed with sweet or condensed milk, na nagsimula during the 50s. Available ang kanilang coffee na ang presyo is under P85. We had its meal set of toasted bread, eggs and coffee worth P180.

Gastos: P180 (toasted bread, eggs, coffee)

3

Monesterio de Sta. Clara Katipunan Ave (near Katipunan LRT Station)

A few steps away from LRT Katipunan station, you can visit Monesterio de Sta.

Bring your own itlog.

Gastos: P0

4

Common Room 325 F dela Rosa, Loyola Height 3

Gastos: P215 (Liempo rice meal and iced tea)

6

Sampaloc Heritage Tree Narra, Project 3, Quezon City Medyo malayo-layo lang nang kaunti sa Katipunan station, pero kung kaya namang sadyain, then why not? You’ll see here the majestic and hundred-old Sampaloc tree na nasa gitna mismo ng kalsada. It’s a natural heritage that you shouldn’t miss when in Katipunan.

7

Amo Yamie Crib 1108, 317 Katipunan Ave, Quezon City

This is what they say “your afterschool-crib” na swak na swak sa mga estudyante matapos ang mabigat na klase. And the price is student-friendly rin.

8

Barkin’ Blends Dog Cafe 2nd Floor, J&R Concon Center, 91, Rosa Alvero Street, Loyola Heights, Quezon City

Dog lover ka ba and you want to relax? Then, this is the place for you. It provides a café experience with a twist dahil nga sa mga resident dogs around that are well loved and taken care of.

9

Wok Dis Way Ground Floor, J & R Concon Center, 91 Rosa Alvero Street, Loyola Heights, Quezon City Sisig ang bida rito. The price is friendly, too. Hindi na mabigat ang P400 for two, right?

10

Regis Center 327 Park 9, Quezon City

Can’t decide where to eat? You can probably go here instead dahil sa dami ng choices ng mga restos, from casual dining to quick bites. For two, hindi kailangan gumastos ng mahal, may P350 ka, solved na!

And once you are in the area and have a lot of time to spare, you must try these places as well:
