Single mom wants to date

Inquirer Libre - - INFOTAINMENT - PHER MENDOZA

DEAR Besh,

I am a single mom, trying to make a living for myself and my two kids. Halos sa trabaho na lang at mga kids umiikot ang mundo ako.

It’s been two years since my husband left us for another woman. Ang hirap at napakasakit. Sinusubukan ko kayaning maging ina at ama at the same time.

I don’t even have time to date. It’s really hard, besh. Most of the time, pakiramdam ko walang balanse ang buhay ko. I want to meet someone and start new kaso I’m still untrusting. What to do? Single Mom

Dear Single Mom,

It’s really daunting to enter the dating scene, besh. I can understand that, lalo na sa pinagdaanan mo, but you have to ask yourself if you’re ready na. Truth is, wala naman yatang right time— it might be a matter of asking yourself why.

Why you need to date? Why is it you’re looking for a partner and why you think this would make your life less unbalanced? Just remember, expecting dating to fulfill all your needs is unrealistic.

Be careful lang, besh kase baka you might attract (or cause you to accept) people who aren't right for you.

If you need companionship or makakausap, why not call your girlfriends?

If you want to have meaning, why not volunteer?

If you want to have your heart racing, exercise.

What I am saying is that maybe dating is not the only option. Be open. Siyempre, iba rin talaga ang may nagpapakilig at nagpapakulay ng buhay, but again, be careful. Maraming mapagsamantala.

One day at a time lang, besh. Dadating din yun. ***

Besh, may problema ka ba kay GF,BF, or sa misis o mister kaya? Sige na bwisitin mo ako pero papayuhan pa rin kita. Email lang sa librepamore@gmail.com
