INAPRUBAHAN ng House committee on youth and sports ang paggawa ng panukala upang mabigyan ng proteksyon ang karapatan ng bawat atleta na maging bahagi ng Philippine Team.

Layunin ng House bill 7470 (an act protecting the right of athletes to serve the Philippines as part of the National Team), na akda nina House Deputy Speaker Pia Cayetano at Antipolo City Rep.

“Despite the lack of support from the government, these athletes are often tagged Pinoy pride after bagging medals abroad,” sabi ni Roa-Puno. “A daughter of a carpenter and street vendor, it's easy to understand why the road to success was not easy for Margielyn Didal.

“We do not waste our money in training those without the heart of a champion,” ani Pichay.

Rebo Saguisag ng University Athletic Association of the Philippines.
