EDGE

Let’s Eat - - NEWS - WORDS BY SPANKY HIZON ENRIQUEZ

There’s something about the wind ruffling your hair and a breeze cooling your face at the end of a long, hectic day. Al fresco is an escape, no matter how brief, from the corporate chains and the concrete walls that imprison us in our daily grind. That would explain the resurgent popularity of roof deck bars all over the city. We Filipinos are notorious for never straying from our air-conditioned cocoons, but somehow, in the gloaming, in the golden hours of dusk, we all find solace in the outdoors. Hundreds of feet above the busy streets, the car horns become muffled and the sound of motorcycles become distant, and suddenly, an open air bar becomes an oasis, a respite, a sweet soothing escape. Such is the case with Edge, high up on the Discovery Primea. And even on a hard day’s night, the cutting-edge cocktails concocted by awardwinning bartender Lennon Aguilar, will make you feel alright.
