Makati denizens get into the sea­son of giv­ing by shar­ing how they plan to pay their bless­ings for­ward.

MARY­BELLE MANUEL, Shop­per "This year I pay it for­ward through char­i­ta­ble works, by sim­ply do­ing good deeds to oth­ers each day."

AN­DRE MIKAEL L. DY, MBA Stu­dent from AIM Cen­ter for De­vel­op­ment Man­age­ment “My fam­ily and I buy food and drive around in my home­town, as well as other ar­eas in Metro Manila, and give food to peo­ple who are beg­ging on the streets. Also, we do­nate our old clothes and things that take up space at home to an NGO, or bring them to a foun­da­tion so we can give it to peo­ple who can use them.”

JAC­INTO, MBA Stu­dent from AIM Cen­ter for De­vel­op­ment Man­age­ment “Dur­ing [the] Christ­mas sea­son, we co­or­di­nate with an NGO and then we hold a Christ­mas party for chil­dren. We'll be do­ing the same this year be­cause it's sort of a tra­di­tion al­ready, so that's what we'll be tak­ing part in. With my fam­ily, we go to pub­lic hos­pi­tals and do­nate toys to chil­dren with can­cer.”

I now give my ex­tra money to them, try­ing to give them a sense of com­fort to those who took care of me when I was there.”
