CDO council passes 93 laws
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PNA) – Legislators here have enacted a total of 93 local laws in six months from July to December 2016, City Vice Mayor Rainier Uy said Thursday. Uy, who chairs the city council, said that the ordinances were hammered out during the 22 regular session from July 2016 toward the end of December 2016. The major legislations included penal and regulatory ordinances, which focused on the health and welfare of the city’s residents. Uy said that, among these ordinances was the local law that regulates all smoke-belching vehicles plying and traversing the territorial jurisdiction of the city.
