Lo­cal stocks fall slightly

Lo­cal stocks fell for the third straight day yes­ter­day due to con­tin­ued profit-tak­ing by in­vestors, and the neg­a­tive sen­ti­ment from the down­trend overnight in Wall Street that pulled down the Asian mar­kets. The bench­mark Philip­pine Stock Ex­change in­dex (PSEi) fin­ished 26.03 points or 0.38 per­cent lower at 7,238.52. The wider All-Shares in­dex like­wise lost 19.15 points or 0.44 per­cent t end the week at 4,360.83. Trad­ing vol­ume re­mained mod­er­ate with 1.43 bil­lion shares, val­ued at R5.38 bil­lion, chang­ing hands. De­clin­ers edged gain­ers, 114-87, with 55 is­sues un­changed.
