NPA medic cap­tured

CAMP BANCASI, Bu­tuan City – Forces of the Army and Philip­pine Na­tional Po­lice (PNP) cap­tured an al­leged med­i­cal of­fi­cer of the New Peo­ple’s Army (NPA) in north­ern Min­danao, a re­gional Army spokesman on Thurs­day said. But re­gional Army spokesper­son Capt. Joe Pa­trick A. Martinez tem­po­rar­ily with­held the iden­tity of the cap­tured NPA medic as tac­ti­cal in­ves­ti­ga­tion is still be­ing jointly con­ducted by Bukid­non Po­lice Pro­vin­cial Of­fice (PPO) and a field unit of the Army’s 403rd In­fantry Bri­gade. The re­gional spokesman of the Army’s North­east­ern and North­ern Min­danao 4th In­fantry (Di­a­mond) Di­vi­sion (4th ID) said the cap­tured NPA medic is be­lieved to be part of the rebels who at­tacked, last Sun­day, the com­pound of Davao Ven­tures Cor­po­ra­tion (DAVCO), a multi­na­tional com­pany based in Barangay Merangeran, Quezon, Bukid­non prov­ince.
