Local shares rebound slightly

Local shares staged a technical rebound yesterday. The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed 49.52 points or 0.60 percent higher at 8,379.64. Likewise, the broader All Shares index rose 19.29 points 0.39 percent at 4,913.31. Trading volume improved with 889.38 million shares, valued at R8.879 billion, changing hands. But decliners topped advancers, 111-79, with 51 issues unchanged.
