21,000 get TESDA nod
Over 20,000 individuals were certified during the two-day National Assessment Day (NAD) of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) held across the country in June.
According to TESDA Director General Guiling Mamondiong, 21,612 out of 24,820 persons were granted TESDA skills certification nationwide.
The 10 courses with the most number of assessed certified individuals are Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II (2,080), Computer System Servicing NC II (1,860), Cookery NC II (1,598), Housekeeping NC II (1,570), Food & Beverage Services NC II (1,434), Driving NC II (1,411), Bread & Pastry Production NC II (1,243), Domestic Work NC II (1,071), Bookkeeping NC III (910) and Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II (820).
