Rotary Int’l members run to end polio

WITH 1,100 registered runners, the Rotary Internatio­nal ( RI) District 3820 Area 3 has held Mall, Lucena City on October 28, 2017 to help reduce the cases of polio all over the world.

Hosted by the RC Lucena Central, the program was headed by RC President Jay Herbert Dael. It was also joined by RI District 3820 Governor Maria Lewina Tolentino (RC Lucena University District), Past District Governors Rafael Tantuco (RC Sariaya) and Darwin Igualada ( RC Tayabas), and 25 Rotary Clubs from Quezon Province (Area 3).

The program of activities started at 4:00 am with a Zumba workout. It was followed by the recitation of the mechanics of the race, who treaded their feet on the 3km, 6km and 12km racetrack.

Side games raffle prizes were given to the lucky winners during the event. Runners were also given medals and special awards.
