PH manufacturing improves in June

THE Philippine manufacturing sector strengthened last month on the back of eased quarantines and improved demand, but not enough to signal growth, according to an IHS Markit survey.

Poll results showed on Wednesday that the country’s Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) climbed to 49.7 percent in June from 40.1 in May.
