COMELEC to con­duct sim­u­la­tion of BOL plebiscite

The Com­mis­sion on Elec­tions will be con­duct­ing a sim­u­la­tion ex­er­cise of the Jan­uary 21, 2019 plebiscite to rat­ify RA 11054 oth­er­wise known as the Bangsamoro Or­ganic Law (BOL).

Us­ing the plebiscite ques­tions to be used in the Bangsamoro Plebiscite ar­eas as pro­vided in Ar­ti­cle VI of Res­o­lu­tion No. 10425,

a sim­u­la­tion ac­tiv­ity will be held on Oc­to­ber 23, 2018 at the COMELEC Main Of­fice in In­tra­muros, Manila.

It will be the first time that var­i­ous plebiscite ques­tions will be used since ar­eas not presently in­cluded in the Bangsamoro core ter­ri­to­ries are now be­ing pro­posed to be in­cluded.

Res­o­lu­tion No. 10425 or the Im­ple­ment­ing Rules and Reg­u­la­tions as to the con­duct of the Bangsamoro Plebiscite pro­vides for the man­dated re­spon­si­bilites of the COMELEC in the rat­i­fi­ca­tion of the BOL. (COMELEC)
