The Palawan Provincial Board approved on Tuesday the realignment of around P47 million infrastructure fund from the fiscal year 2015- 2016 to finance infrastructure and road projects in the municipalities this year.

The Provincial Board made the realignment after Governor Jose Alvarez sent a letter request that the amount previously awarded to EM Pole Construction and Trading intended for the construction of small infrastructure and road projects failed to accomplish it.

Dapat ma- realign ‘ to sa ibang dapat mapondohan, sa mga priority projects ng provincial government,” Board Member Leoncio Ola chair of the committee on appropriation, said.

Ola said the amount will be realigned to also finance road and other infrastructure projects in the towns of Roxas, Cagayancillo, Taytay, Araceli, Brooke’s Point, San Vicente, Magsaysay, and Quezon.

He also said construction companies involved in any irregularity will be automatically blacklisted in the province.

The P47 million will be subjected to the bidding process.
