Palawan Board member Eduardo Modesto Rodriguez called on all the towns in the province to put up their own vegetable seed resource centers to cope with rising market prices and malnutrition.

“I move to stage a battle against malnutrition in the en- tire province through this. We are also beset with problems such as lack of planting materials in vegetable fields that’s why we are enjoining all the LGUs to establish their own vegetable seed resource centers,” he said.

Rodriguez said the idea is to ensure that vegetables with proteins, vitamins, and minerals are readily available and affordable, especially in areas with high malnutrition cases.

“Ang pagkakaroon ng vegetable seed resource centers ay kumplementaryo sa implementasyon ng FAITH na backyard gardening sa bawat munisipyo,” he said.
