Puerto trikes junk old engines

Palawan News - - ENVIRONMENT -

Sergey Kandaurov - It seems like electrical engine would fit tricycle the best way; 1. Tricycles are lightweight, do not go fast and need high torque at low speeds - exactly where electrical engines are best in. 2. Tricycles do not travel on long distances (over 50km) - so the range between recharges is not a problem. 50km would not even require a lot of batteries (compare to 400+ km for much heavier Tesla car). 3. Tricycles spend a lot of time waiting - ideal for recharges 4. It's really environmentally friendly (if old batteries are properly disposed). 5. It is cheaper then Princesa Tower. Alan Brown - I remember when I 1st got here there was a similar program to convert the stinking 2 strokes to LP Gas (Gasul). The problem was that they only changed the fuel & made no allowance for the fact that 2 cycle engines mix the oil with the gas & lubricate the moving parts before burning it in the cylinder.
