Capi­tol em­ployee flunks drug test

ILOIL O City–An em­ployee of the Iloi lo pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment failed an unan­nounced drug test con­ducted dur­ing a sym­po­sium of the Philip­pine Drug En­force­ment Agency Re­gion 6.

The Hu­man Re­source Of­fice has yet to in­form this em­ployee about the test re­sult, ac­cord­ing to of­fice chief Alma Ravena.

ast oa “Out of 100 capi­tol em­ploy­ees who were tested, only one turned pos­i­tive for il­le­gal drugs,” said Ravena.

She de­clined to name the em­ployee but said it was a male.

The em­ployee will be given the chance to chal­lenge the test re­sult.

The drug test was con­ducted on May 24. Urine sam­ples were taken from 100 capi­tol em­ploy­ees.

If the em­ployee will chal­lenge t he re­sult, a con­fir­ma­tory test will be held in Metro Manila.

“He has the right to chal­lenge the test re­sult,” said Ravena.
