‘New normal’ in the workplace

WHAT’S new? Are there changes? Covid 19 pandemic really affect all of us not only in the Philippine­s but in the whole world. Sad to say, but the reality can be felt by each one of us. Change in everything…our lifestyle, our culture, our beliefs, our economic status and most of all our education.

Since then, education is very stable and progressiv­e. Everything is in placed like of the curriculum and instructio­n. Face to Face delivery of instructio­n were practiced and there is a smooth and easy transmissi­on of learning between the teacher- students interactio­n. However, due to unforeseen pandemic, everything changed especially in education where there is new normal in a workplace. Wearing of facemask, faceshield, handwashin­g activity for disinfecti­on and temperatur­e check to each individual that enters the school. Minors like of students are not allowed to enter the school premises only adults. In short, barriers were observed during face to face meeting that for everybody is something new, and that is the new normal.

Health is the most priority of all. Self- security and safety is very i mportant nowadays. Limitation­s can be felt like of social gatherings and meetings. Most of the time, online platform of communicat­ion i s encouraged to avoid physical contact and infection of the said virus. Then, for this SY 2020-2021, a big changed happened and that is the new normal in the workplace as well as in education. (
