Fire hits fast-food chain in Pasay City

A branch of a pop­u­lar fast-food chain was gut­ted by a fire in Pasay City on Sun­day. Supt. Car­los Dueñas, Pasay fire mar­shal, said the blaze broke out at 1:50 a.m. in the Jol­libee branch on Ma­ca­pa­gal Boule­vard, near the New World Trade Cen­ter. Dueñas said no one was hurt since the es­tab­lish­ment was closed when the fire started. The dam­age to prop­erty was es­ti­mated at around P200,000. Fire­fight­ers needed to break the glass win­dows of the es­tab­lish­ment to ex­tin­guish the fire which started in the kitchen. It reached the first alarm be­fore it was put out at 3 a.m.
