HOMEKING OPENS OPPORTUNITIES FOR OFWS IN CHINA

-

Two million overseas Filipinos working as household service attendants in various parts of the globe will now have a better opportunity with the launching of Homeking in the Philippines recently.

According to Seung Moo Yoo, CEO of Homeking Philippines Inc., “They need more protection, and perhaps, an even better job environment. These issues inspired Homeking of China to embark on an endeavor that would soon enable Filipino household service attendants—who will be further trained and employed by Homeking—to have a chance to work in mainland China.”

Homeking Philippines said that it will make itself a major springboard for access to the mainland Chinese market of the best quality and dependable Filipino household service professionals, besides tapping the premium household service market in the Philippines.

With an improving consumption level, mainland Chinese consumers are fast becoming an attractive point for foreign household service attendants.

Homeking entered into a partnership with Filhigh GNS Inc. and Ikon Solutions Asia Inc., both prominent manpower recruitment and deployment agencies based in Metro Manila.

This partnership will not only include recruiting and dispatching of high quality Filipino household service attendants, English teachers and caretakers to mainland China in the future, but also the establishment of training camps with local educational institutions, enrolling Chinese participants in courses such as housekeeping, food and beverage service, and cookery, amongst others.

For the past eight years, Homeking has distinguished itself as a leader in China, being the largest household service provider with a customer base of over 3 million families.

Last year, it earned close to RMB 1 billion ($150 million).
