Nov. 11 to Nov. 17 Nov. 11 Tanay Hane Fes­ti­val

A fes­ti­val in Tanay, Rizal province, on its eighth run this year, show­cas­ing the town’s cul­tural her­itage and tra­di­tions. Res­i­dents also cel­e­brate the 412th found­ing an­niver­sary of Tanay. The fes­ti­val’s name came from the ex­pres­sion of res­i­dents, “hane,” which means please, or “’di ba” in Filipino. Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude a culinary com­pe­ti­tion, art con­test, peo­ple’s pa­rade and street dance com­pe­ti­tion.

Nov. 11 to 14 Arawatan Fes­ti­val

Co­in­cid­ing with Oc­ci­den­tal Mindoro’s 68th found­ing an­niver­sary, the fes­ti­val fea­tures the province’s prod­ucts and at­trac­tions through a photo ex­hibit, an agri­trade and tourism fair, street danc­ing and sports events. Held in the town of Mam­bu­rao, “arawatan” is a Mangyan term that means “co­op­er­a­tion” or “help­ing each other.”

Nov. 15 to 17 Mi­maropa Fes­ti­val

A cel­e­bra­tion of prod­ucts, tourist des­ti­na­tions and fes­tiv­i­ties in the provinces com­pris­ing the re­gion of Mi­maropa, which is an acro­nym for the provinces of Oc­ci­den­tal Mindoro, Ori­en­tal Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan. The town of Mam­bu­rao in Oc­ci­den­tal Mindoro will host the fes­ti­val this year. Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude an agri­trade and tourism fair, Mi­maropa in­vest­ment fo­rum and street dance com­pe­ti­tion.
