A del­i­cate repast awaits An­glophiles at the Raf­fles Makati at its Vic­to­rian Era-in­spired Royal Af­ter­noon Tea at the Writ­ers Bar. From 2:30 to 5:30pm un­til 30 Novem­ber, guests can en­joy a de­light­ful spread that fea­tures a num­ber of Bri­tish treats in­clud­ing Coronation Chicken, cre­ated in hon­our of Queen Elizabeth’s as­cent to the throne in 1953; clas­sic tea sand­wiches filled with poached sal­mon and dill; del­i­cate lemon tarts; and the Vic­to­ria Sponge, fluffy cake filled with but­ter­cream and rasp­berry jam. Tea for two is set at Php 1150; add Php 900 for a glass of cham­pagne. In ad­di­tion, pro­to­col spe­cial­ist Sheila Vi­esca of TalkShop will con­duct a Bri­tish tea eti­quette class at 3:00pm on 29 Oc­to­ber and fine Bri­tish prod­ucts will be on sale at the Bits and Bobs pop-up store from 20 to 21 Oc­to­ber.
