“While everyone is looking to the right, we make sure we’re looking to the left. This is how we make noise. This is how we have made a name for ourselves”

prominent.” A favourite among frequent travellers, the oval face sports two dials that allow the wearer to have the time at the country of origin and that at the country of destination in a single timepiece.

The manufacture’s commitment to helping the Philip Stein customer achieve balance and harmony extends to its other offerings, which have expanded to include fitness and sleep bracelets. “What we wish to put forward to customers through these products is a 24hour wellness solution,” says Will. “Wellness must be attended to during both the day and nighttime; the human body is attuned to different frequencies while awake and asleep. Some guarantors of a good, quality life are proper sleep and regular exercise, which our bracelets help address.” He maintains that though the watches will always be their core products, other wearable wellness offerings will be part of the roster in the future.

The newest addition to Philip Stein’s brand ambassadors—a list that includes local talents such as TV personality-entrepreneur Kris Aquino and theatre actress-singer Lea Salonga—is none other than Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, who leads a busy lifestyle that entails extensive travelling and hopping from timezone to timezone. Her campaign, aptly titled “Two Worlds, One Universe,” is a nod to her status as a global citizen. “We are very careful when it comes to selecting our endorsers,” says Will. “It is more about the sort of lives they lead rather than simply celebrity status. The matter of utmost importance is: do they embody the Philip Stein philosophy?”

Will foresees great things for Philip Stein’s future. The manufacture continues to advance, and its co-founder believes that the nature of the technology they utilise puts them in a unique position. “Philip Stein is advancing in a completely different way,” Will says. “No one else has been able to replicate what we have been doing. While everyone is looking to the right, we make sure we’re looking to the left. This is how we make noise. This is how we have made a name for ourselves.”

The Legacy Petite Collection was first introduced in the fall of 2015, with Lea Salonga as brand ambassador
