Presenting a side of the Catalan capital that is authentic yet modern, BCN by Rambla is the perfect spot for a wine-and-dine nightcap

Savour authentic Catalan flavours at a wine bar that captures the free-wheeling spirit of Barcelona

0wned and operated by the Bistronomia Group, BCN by Rambla is likened to a return trip to Barcelona. Sergi Rostoll, Uri Singla, and Dani Aliaga all have fond memories of the city; if Rambla is a tribute to its touristy spirit, then BCN is a tribute to its not-so-hidden gems and bestkept neighbourhood secrets. “BCN is where you would go to unwind with great food and a glass of wine,” says Aliaga.

BCN’s biggest come-on is its large selection of wines. A temperature-controlled wine cellar on the second floor houses around 50 variants, each one a favourite of the owners. Responsible for this is an in-house sommelier, who goes around to make recommendations—though guests are more than welcome to choose their own. Pair your choice of drink with one of the offerings on BCN’s menu, which run the gamut from tapas to charcoal oven rice dishes.
