My friends say it’s due to our age that we want to be more con­scious of the prod­ucts we use. But hon­estly, it’s prob­a­bly the time we live in. Mil­len­ni­als are so con­scious of what they con­sume—for in­stance, the in­gre­di­ents in their beauty prod­ucts—and they’re more ac­tive in pro­grams that look af­ter the en­vi­ron­ment. Say what you want about them but re­ally, they are just more aware and are try­ing their best to save what we and our par­ents have bro­ken.

This month, we have Natalia Peña on the cover. When I first met this stun­ner, I was even more im­pressed by her in­tel­lect. She made me hope­ful and ex­cited to see how my kids will be when they grow up. I met her through Zumba—some­thing she does with her mom when­ever she’s here in the coun­try on break. How re­fresh­ing it is to be with mil­len­ni­als. At least, the ones like her.
