Kudos to the Southern Living staff for featuring eco-belle Bianca Araneta (September 2010). Knowing that someone as high-profile and glamorous as Bianca Araneta is concerned on making the world a greener place as much as I do, is really empowering. After all, she could well afford to not care given her social status. She's definitely a breath of fresh air, especially since she revolves around a world that champions consumption. So great job Southern Living for featuring someone who's got both beauty and substance. The feature on green products is engrossing, as well. Hope to see more events and happening this side of the metro more. Keep it up, Southern Living.

- Angel Fernandez It was brought to our attention that the article “Truly Southern,” (Southern Home, December 2010) caused some confusion to readers. Our senior editorial assistant Dianne Pineda wrote that Dimples Balaguer-La'O put up successful businesses such as Nothing But H20 and “launched Toms, a shoe company that donates a portion of its proceeds to charity.” Ms. Pineda did not intend to mislead readers into thinking that Ms. La'O was the one who created the brand TOMS. TOMS is a US shoe brand founded by Blake Mycoskie. It is based in Santa Monica, California and was brought to the country by Ms. La'O.
