VP Leni set to visit Baguio

VICE President Leni Ro­bredo is set to visit the city to­day to launch sto­ries of hope.

Ro­bredo will stand as guest of honor for the launch­ing of the Baguio City “Is­to­rya ng Pag-asa Photo Gallery Ex­hibit,” at the Univer­sity of the Cordilleras in the af­ter­noon.

The Is­to­rya ng Pa­gasa is un­der Ro­bredo's An­gat Buhay anti-poverty pro­gram.

Ro­bredo’s last visit to the city was in March when she launched the pro­gram and asked for the par­tic­i­pa­tion of the com­mu­nity to give sto­ries of hope.

Around 40 in­di­vid­u­als from all walks of life whose sto­ries made a dif­fer­ence will be high­lighted dur­ing the pro­gram.

The in­di­vid­u­als will be fea­tured through a photo gallery to in­spire other peo­ple who will be brought to dif­fer­ent in­sti­tu­tions such as churches, schools, gov­ern­ment of­fices, and other pub­lic places.

“Is­to­rya ng Pag-asa” fo­cuses on an achieve­ments which will hopes to change and move peo­ple.

The Vice President has also set ex­am­ples such as the ex­tra or­di­nary story of Aling Lorna, a wid­owed mother in Que­zon City who is a sari-sari store owner who have raised and helped her chil­dren who grad­u­ated and are now a lawyer, a teacher, a nurse with her last child still study­ing at the Univer­sity of the Philip­pines.
