VP Leni set to visit Baguio
VICE President Leni Robredo is set to visit the city today to launch stories of hope.
Robredo will stand as guest of honor for the launching of the Baguio City “Istorya ng Pag-asa Photo Gallery Exhibit,” at the University of the Cordilleras in the afternoon.
The Istorya ng Pagasa is under Robredo's Angat Buhay anti-poverty program.
Robredo’s last visit to the city was in March when she launched the program and asked for the participation of the community to give stories of hope.
Around 40 individuals from all walks of life whose stories made a difference will be highlighted during the program.
The individuals will be featured through a photo gallery to inspire other people who will be brought to different institutions such as churches, schools, government offices, and other public places.
“Istorya ng Pag-asa” focuses on an achievements which will hopes to change and move people.
The Vice President has also set examples such as the extra ordinary story of Aling Lorna, a widowed mother in Quezon City who is a sari-sari store owner who have raised and helped her children who graduated and are now a lawyer, a teacher, a nurse with her last child still studying at the University of the Philippines.
