DSWD clar­i­fies de­layed Pantawid pay­out

THE Depart­ment of So­cial Wel­fare and De­vel­op­ment (DSWD) an­nounced the sched­ule of re­lease of cash grants for the Pantawid Pam­ilyang Pilipino Pro­gram in the prov­inces of Abra and Apayao is yet to be fi­nal­ized due to the pro­cure­ment of ser­vice providers.

“We would like to ex­tend our apolo­gies to the ben­e­fi­cia­ries and af­fected stake­hold­ers ”, D SW DC AR Di­rec­tor Janet Ar­mas said.

Ar­mas said those af­fected that the Depart­ment is closely work­ing with the Land­bank of the Philip­pines (LBP) to fast­track the pro­cure­ment of ser­vice providers and that ben­e­fi­cia­ries will be im­me­di­ately no­ti­fied by Pantawid Pam­ilya per­son­nel on the sched­ule of pay-out once avail­able, “We guar­an­tee that amount of grants not re­leased due to the in­ci­dent will be given in full once LBP con­duits are avail­able.

The re­lease of Pantawid Pam­ilya cash grants are done through the Land­bank of the Philip­pines with con­duits or ser­vice providers en­gaged as a re­sult of a pro­cure­ment process.

Mean­while, pay­out for the prov­inces of Ifu­gao and Kalinga for Pe­riod 1-3 (6 months) of 2017 are on-go­ing. Ben­e­fi­cia­ries from Benguet Prov­ince and Moun­tain Prov­ince have al­ready re­ceived their cash grants.

As of 31 Au­gust 2017, a to­tal of P228,024,400 have been dis­bursed for the Reg­u­lar Con­di­tional Cash Trans­fer (CCT) cov­er­ing 40,249 house­holds and a to­tal of P6,513,800 cov­er­ing 1,248 house­holds for the Mod­i­fied CCT cov­er­ing Pe­ri­ods 1 and 2 (Fe­bru­ary to May 2017). Pay­out is cur­rently on­go­ing for Pe­riod 3 (June to July 2017).

Ifu­gao and Kalinga started pay­out for Pe­ri­ods 1-3 (Fe­bru­ary to July) Septem­ber 26, 2017 and Oc­to­ber 3, 2017 re­spec­tively.
