WweE, the youth of today are so grateful as are provided avenues through various organizations and conventions where we can be part of effecting positive change. Where we can be seen and take action. Where our voices can be heard. We salute brilliant student leaders who are chosen to take part and initiate this positive change as we also thank our mentors and sponsors. Doing our part to make the world a better place to live in. Here’s to the millenium!
KALEIDOSCOPE 9. It was a wear-yourpersonality kind of day! People who wore Blue for peace/calmness; Green for nurturing/motivation; Red for passion/strength; Violet for sophistication/wisdom; and Yellow for optimism/cheerfulness. Indeed, like what Ma’am Christine Gina Camsol, RPsy, the Chapter Executive Manager of PMHA-BBCI (Philippine Mental Health Association Baguio-Benguet Chapter), mentioned during her introduction, despite the many colors that make a kaleidoscope, there is a harmonious relationship that allows the creation of a beautiful pattern. And I believe it is us the youth, like a kaleidescope, the leaders of the millenium.
Last October 8, the Progressive Youth Association on Mental Health (PYAMH) of the PMHA-BBCI conducted their PYAMH Executive Committee teambuilding activity, acquaintance party (Kaleidoscope 9) and Induction Program at the Baguio City Hall Multipurpose Hall. The inducting officer was Hon. Judge Francis A. Bulliyat, Sr. (Ret.), the Chairperson, Board of Management of PMHA BBCI.
“The PYAMH is an organized core group of students from different Colleges and Univer- sities in Baguio City and Benguet Province. The objective is which is to organize a core group who will be PMHA’s partner in the promotion of mental health in their respective schools. Specifically, it aims to introduce PMHA, its mission and vision to the members of the organization, to establish strong linkages with the selected organizations, to train and mobilize the school’s organizations in the promotion of sound mental health, and also to recruit more PMHA members”.
