Sun.Star Baguio - - OPINION -

THE City Council Committee on Public Protection and Safety, Peace and Order, has scheduled a Summit on Public Protection and Safety, Peace and Order for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students tomorrow November 16 until Friday, November 17, 2017 from 8AM to 5PM.

The said summit is aimed to design, implement, and evaluate crime prevention initiatives responsive to the needs/problems regarding the safety and protection of the students in the city. It will also seek to endow explicit action plans in reinventing new strategy on how to promote the safety and protection of the students as well as to allow the students to mingle and interact with their fellow participants, develop camaraderie among them, and to give them a chance to share their ideas and inputs to help improve the plans and programs for the promotion of their welfare and security.

It is likewise geared towards the empowerment of students to become instruments in sharing to their fellow students the information gathered during the summit and at the same time enhance partnership between the students, the Baguio City Police Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, other national line agencies, and the community in crime prevention and its preemption and possible solution and other concerns. The said summit will be held at the BENECO Multipurpose Hall located along South Drive, Baguio City. prove anything. Don't you worry people - the "Landslide" will be back in no time. That makes me really excited and we can only hope that he comes back stronger and tougher.

Martin Nguyen, on the other hand, deserves to be the new king of that ONE Championship MMA division. Many will remember the night for the violent knockout and how Nguyen made history at the expense of our idol. Hopefully, the image of Nguyen right by his friend's side after the stoppage also stands out, as it shows the true meaning of honor and respect among martial artists and professionals.

And the losing breed? It isn't Eduard for sure. Neither is it Team Lakay. It's all those instant ‘experts’ and ‘analysts’ who talk too much, type words too much and quickly make their comments known on social media thinking they'd even last one second with any fighter in the octagon. "Agtalna kayo man sao kayo nga sao nga!"
