CBFC holds futsal for a cause
TRUE to their word of helping others, a two - day five on five futsal tournament will kick off today, October 13 at the PFVR Gym.
Spearheaded by the Cordillera Binnadang Football Club, the futsal tournament will have four categories for both boys and girls.
The futsal for a cause will be a fund raising activity for the victims and survivors of Typhoon Ompong in the Cordillera region and for the three children left orphaned by the calamity in Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya.
Kicking of the two day tournament is the competition for 13 years old and below for boys and girls, while the 17 and under category for boys and girls will fire off on October 27.
Registration fee is at P500 and is still on going. Interested teams may call or text coach Dave Fiangan at (0938)4446778.
Earlier in May, CBFC also spearheaded a fund raising activity whihc generated P83,390 from different supporters to help ailing journalist and dialysis patient Ramon Dacawi.
The proceeds were turned over by CBFC coaches to Dacawi, a retired City Hall information officer, athlete advocate, environmentalist and helper of the needy.
The tournament also benefited two parents of football players from Baguio City National High school.
