Cops in tears after another bloody ops
`We don’t know .. there’s a baby and pregnant woman around’
Ahigh ranking official who is familiar with the police operation that killed a family of three in Tubod town last Monday dawn, Sept. 11 said the operatives were not aware that a pregnant woman and a 5-month old baby were inside the house during the shootout.
The official said the eightmember team from SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) reported almost in tears that the 3-month old pregnant woman identified as Virginia Delibo and her 5-month-old baby were among those killed in the operation at Purok 6, Taguranao village in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.
The operatives also killed the target, Bevino Laride, who had standing arrest warrant for attempted murder, after the suspect allegedly fought back when the authorities arrived.
The official said based on their intelligence report, the family is living at Purok 2 and the house in Purok 6 served as hideout of the suspects.
“Nakahilak tawon ang tropa after sa operation kay wala sila kabalo nga naa didto ang babaye ug ang bata ug wala nila matuyo and hitabo kay ang pagtuo ang balay nila naa sa Purok 2,”the official said.
“Ako pamilyado ko and kasagara sa tropa duna pud gagmayng anak, imong madunggan ang mga police gakurog tawon nga kahilakon kay wala matuyo ang hitabo kay pagtuktok sa pultahan, pusil man ang gitubag sa suspect sa tropa,” he added.
The official emphasized that operatives raided two houses, the other one belongs to the suspect’s brother, Jonel who is co-accused of the same crime.
But, he said Jonel was not home during the operation, though a certain male individual they caught inside
