Dads con­demn sense­less killing of USTsP president

THROUGH Res­o­lu­tion No. 12857-2017, the City Coun­cil dur­ing its reg­u­lar session Mon­day presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy con­demned in the strong­est pos­si­ble terms and as a heinous, sense­less and das­tardly act the killing and mur­der of Dr. Ri­cardo E. Ro­toras, president of the Univer­sity of Sci­ence and Tech­nol­ogy in South­ern Philip­pines (USTsP) last De­cem­ber 2, 2017 at Up­per Car­men.

Dr. Ro­toras was shot by uniden­ti­fied men out­side his home.

Leg­is­la­tors are urg­ing the Philip­pine Na­tional Po­lice (PNP), Na­tional Bureau of In­ves­ti­ga­tion (NBI) and other law en­force­ment agen­cies to ex­haust all means to bring to the bar of jus­tice the per­pe­tra­tors of the crime. A sep­a­rate res­o­lu­tion was adopted ex­press­ing the city’s deep­est sym­pa­thy and con­do­lences to his fam­ily.
