Don’t criticize the president?

Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro - - Front Page - FRINGES AND FRONTIERS

first place, “wala pay daghang channel sa panahon ni Quezon, samot na sa panahon ni Osmena ug ni Laurel.” But granting that indeed you were unfairly treated, then fine – let me praise you for what you should be praised. One, I admire your decision to end contractualization. Two, I was hopeful when you appointed Gina Lopez. Three, I admire your “hate for drugs.”

Apparently, there are some good things that are happening under your administration. But there really is a problem. You lack consistency. Why did you appoint an exGeneral to replace Gina in the DENR? You said you hate drugs but I hope that before your term ends, Peter Lim will be arrested.

I agree that news reports should also say something good about you. What I cannot accept is the fact that many of your supporters are lovers of fake news. And the problem is they just don’t carelessly share, they deliberately create fake news just to defend you.

I am writing this letter because I am worried of our future. I do not claim that I “love” (this country) because love is such a debatable word. Do not worry Mr. President, I am not a drug addict and neither am I a member of NPA. I am not also the president of the CBCP and am not a graduate of UP or Ateneo. I hope you will understand that some of those who dissent and are dissatisfied with your administration do not fall under the categories you and the military have in mind. FYI your Red October does not bother me. I am not a believer of colors Mr. President. I did not vote for PNoy, just to be honest.

I am writing this without hatred. I also do not intend to offer any apology, and I also would not care if people will unfriend me in FB.

Finally, it is true that the problems in this country, fairly speaking, are not all your creations. True, you inherited them from Cory, Ramos, Estrada, Gloria, and Noynoy. But precisely, there is another thing which, by the way before I forget, I cannot but mention. Some if not many of our problems were also due to the older Marcos. But, “nganong gipa lubong man nimo siyas Libingan ng mga Bayani” and not contented you want his son to replace you?

Prayers for your health.
