6 killed in Oro drug war

At least six sus­pected drug per­son­al­i­ties were killed in po­lice op­er­a­tions in Ca­gayan de Oro City while around 400 drug sus­pects were ar­rested and cur­rently fac­ing drug charges in the last two quar­ters of this year.

Data from the Ca­gayan de Oro City Po­lice Of­fice (Cocpo) showed these drug sus­pects were nabbed dur­ing the 328 anti-il­le­gal drug op­er­a­tions from April to Septem­ber, this year.

Anti-il­le­gal drug op­er­a­tives filed 435 cases in court.

Records show that the six drug sus­pects were killed in the last two months af­ter they sup­pos­edly fought back (nan­la­ban) with the op­er­a­tives in what the po­lice claimed as buy bust op­er­a­tion.

In said op­er­a­tions, au­thor­i­ties seized a to­tal of 575 grams of sus­pected shabu (metham­phetamine hy­drochlo­ride) and 75 grams of mar­i­juana.
