SP constitutes itself as Committee of the Whole to deliberate on Oro’s 2019 executive budget
DELIBERATIONS on the city’s proposed P6.5 billion executive budget for 2019 will commence soon.
The City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy adopted a resolution constituting the legislative body as a Committee of the Whole for the purpose.
The resolution also grants the vice mayor the blanket authority to designate the presiding officer and to schedule the marathon hearing.
In the course of the deliberations, all committee meetings will be suspended except in cases involving measures certified as urgent and without prejudice to the submission of documents to committee members for perusal.
The P6.5 billion budget includes the General Fund and the Special Account/ Operation of the City’s Economic Enterprises in the amounts of P5,880,540,781 billion and P619,459,219, respectively.
In his budget message, Mayor Moreno said the city’s vision is contextualized by the PRIMEHAT framework: Poverty Alleviation, Public Order and Safety; Revenue Generation; Infrastructure and Investments; Metropolization; Education and Environmental Protection; Health, Hospital Services, and Housing and Resettlement; Agricultural Productivity and Teamwork, Traffic and Tourism.
