SP con­sti­tutes it­self as Com­mit­tee of the Whole to de­lib­er­ate on Oro’s 2019 ex­ec­u­tive bud­get

DE­LIB­ER­A­TIONS on the city’s pro­posed P6.5 bil­lion ex­ec­u­tive bud­get for 2019 will com­mence soon.

The City Coun­cil dur­ing its reg­u­lar ses­sion Mon­day presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy adopted a res­o­lu­tion con­sti­tut­ing the leg­isla­tive body as a Com­mit­tee of the Whole for the pur­pose.

The res­o­lu­tion also grants the vice mayor the blan­ket author­ity to des­ig­nate the pre­sid­ing of­fi­cer and to sched­ule the marathon hear­ing.

In the course of the de­lib­er­a­tions, all com­mit­tee meet­ings will be sus­pended ex­cept in cases in­volv­ing mea­sures cer­ti­fied as ur­gent and with­out prej­u­dice to the sub­mis­sion of doc­u­ments to com­mit­tee mem­bers for pe­rusal.

The P6.5 bil­lion bud­get in­cludes the Gen­eral Fund and the Spe­cial Ac­count/ Op­er­a­tion of the City’s Eco­nomic En­ter­prises in the amounts of P5,880,540,781 bil­lion and P619,459,219, re­spec­tively.

In his bud­get mes­sage, Mayor Moreno said the city’s vi­sion is con­tex­tu­al­ized by the PRIMEHAT frame­work: Poverty Al­le­vi­a­tion, Pub­lic Or­der and Safety; Rev­enue Gen­er­a­tion; In­fra­struc­ture and In­vest­ments; Metropoliza­tion; Ed­u­ca­tion and En­vi­ron­men­tal Pro­tec­tion; Health, Hospi­tal Ser­vices, and Hous­ing and Re­set­tle­ment; Agri­cul­tural Pro­duc­tiv­ity and Team­work, Traf­fic and Tourism.
