9-hole mini golf park opens in Parkmall

-

Cebuanos can now enjoy playing mini golf at the Enclave Garden of Parkmall after Harvig's Mini Golf Fun Park opened its nine-hole course last Aug. 13.

A welcome addition to Parkmall's green landscape, the fun park opened after Swedish owner Christer Harvigson and his wife Emily spent months looking for the perfect spot.

“We tried beach resorts and other malls,” saidChrister. “But Parkmall offered us the area that best fit our requirements.”

Mini golf is a very popular pastime in Europe, the US and Australia, said Christer, who has been living in Cebu for six years. The decision to open the mini golf fun park came after the couple realized that there wasn't one in Cebu yet.

“Back in my hometown, we have five mini golf fun parks,” said Christer, a native of Malmö, which is a Swedish town much smaller than Cebu.

What makes this mini golf fun park different from the other miniature golf courses in Cebu is its size, which makes it easier to play especially for kids.

Harvig's Mini Golf Fun Park is open from Monday to Thursday, 2 to 10 p.m., and Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ticket is at P200 for adults and P150 for children below 12 years old.
