CIDG 7 nabs 4 men for drugs, guns
Four persons were arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection (CIDG) 7 for allegedly keeping unlicensed firearms and illegal drugs in Barangay Pasil, Cebu City past 5 a.m. yesterday.
Seized from the suspects were five firearms and several packs of white crystals believed to be shabu worth more than P100,000.
The simultaneous raids conducted by the CIDG 7 were authorized by search warrants issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 61 Judge Antonio Marigomen.
It was part of the agency’s “One-Time, Big-Time” campaign against illegal drug operations.
Arrested were Ray-an Cabasan, Giovannie Aban, Joselyn Gabotero and Kerwin Abatol.
Suspects Joselito Abapo and Ike Virtudazo, however, were not caught.
Senior Insp. Edwin Lacostales, CIDG 7 information officer, said that the suspects were allegedly engaged in illegal drug business.
Suspects will face charges for illegal possession of firearms and shabu.
