President Rodrigo Duterte again had the highest trust and approval ratings in July to September 2017, according to the latest Pulse Asia survey. According to the survey conducted from Sept. 24 to 30, the President’s approval and trust scores slightly decreased but he continues to enjoy a “big majority” approval score for his performance pegged at 80 percent, while his trust score continues to be high in general with 80 percent. Pulse Asia said that President Duterte’s approval and trust ratings fell by just two percentage points and one percentage point, respectively, from his rating in June 2017. “Amid the various issues his administration faces, Duterte manages to retain his big majority approval and trust ratings ( both at 80 percent),” Pulse Asia said in a statement. Only seven percent disapproved of the President while six percent said they distrust him.
