Legions brave Lapu tracks

Hundreds of riders will converge in Lapu-Lapu City for the Man & Machine Promotions, KTM Cebu and RDAK Cebu’s exciting Supercross race at the Mactan Newtown race track on Sunday, Nov. 19.

The new track which was built for Motocross, MTB, Off-Road RC and Drone Racing will have its first event with the country’s top riders expected to show up for the initial of the many races more to come.

Event organizer Jonas Adlawan said there will be 17 titles that will be up for grabs including the exciting the Pro Open race, which will be participated by the country’s top riders bannered by Cebuano pride Jonjon Adlawan.

“We have 17 categories titles at stake, including the Pro Open division. The race will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. And we have riders from Mindanao, Iloilo and Bacolod who will be parading their skills,” Adlawan told SunStar Cebu.

Aside from Adlawan, Jubenille Aguilar and the other Cebuano riders will try to stamp their claims against the riders from Iloilo City that is lead by Dexter Bacabac, Ted Conde from Mindanao among others. The country’s top daredevil Glenn Aguilar is expected to see action in this inaugural race.

The race will also feature the young and aspiring motocross racers in the Peewee categories, the Ladies Division as well as the up and coming riders who will be competing in the Intermediate and juniors categories as well as the race for the veteran riders. /
