Tandingan wants to sing ‘Anak’
KZ Tandingan aims to continue her winning streak this week with her second performance on “Singer 2018,” the hit Chinese singing competition for professional singers.
To recall, Tandingan beat Jessie J in the rankings when she debuted at the singing competition last Friday. Tandingan ranked first among eight singers while Jessie J was her runner-up.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Tandingan revealed she wants to sing Freddie Aguilar’s “Anak” in Mandarin in the show.
She said that her performance this Friday is crucial because she needs to make it to the Top 4 in order to survive. Even if she topped last week, her average score from two weeks of performance will be used as basis for her continued stay in the competition.
Tandingan doesn’t think there is a monetary prize in the competition. The prize is getting into the Chinese market.
