MANILA -- Actress Toni Gonzaga is now in good condition after she gave birth to her baby boy Severiano Elliott on Friday morning via normal delivery.

This was confirmed by Toni's husband, director Paul Soriano on Instagram.

In a phone interview with ABS-CBN News, Toni's mother and talent manager Crisanta "Pinty" Gonzaga, said her daughter didn't have a difficult time in labor.

"Super hindi siya nahirapan sa contractions," Mrs. Gonzaga said. "It's only this morning siya nag-start mag-push, so doon siya nahirapan."

Meanwhile, Mrs. Gonzaga said they are very excited, especially since she is a first-time grandmother.

"First apo on both sides, kaya nakakatuwa," said the older Gonzaga, admitting that she will most likely spoil baby Seve.

"Kasi first apo, even sa side ni Paul. Paul is the eldest and Toni is also my eldest, so first apo talaga. Wala pang may asawa sa side ni Paul," she explained.

Gonzaga and Soriano tied the knot in June last year after eight years as a couple.
