SP ok's permit of new subdivision
THE 18th City Council approved Tuesday the development permit of the Altezza Grande, a subdivision that will soon rise at Sitio San Pedro, Barangay Catalunan Grande, Talomo District in Davao City.
This after a representative of Davao City Water District (DCWD) assured the Council that water sourced from Tugbok water district is more than enough to supply the additional demand from the subdivision.
Davao City Councilor Jesus Zozobrado said DCWD should inform the Council if they cannot provide water for any permit application that will be made in the future.
This is to prevent homeowners from suffering from lack of water supply.
The approval of the item was deferred last week after a heated discourse ensued between the councilors and the DCWD.
During the discussion, DCWD said the eight production wells of Tugbok produce 40,000 cubic meters (m3) per day which can last up to the next five years.
In succeeding years, DCWD will drill another well in the Tugbok Area, which will be utilized, as they allow the eight other wells to replenish.
The Tamugan Bulkwater, which is expected to open in 2019, will also be utilized to augment the needs of the subdivision.
