Non-profit org to hold int’l gab here, Nov. 30

ANAK Kaug­maon Foun­da­tion Inc., a non-profit or­ga­ni­za­tion formed by South­ern Philip­pines Med­i­cal Cen­ter – De­part­ment of Pe­di­atrics (SPMC-DP), will hold an in­ter­na­tional con­fer­ence on Novem­ber 30 at SMX Con­ven­tion Cen­ter in SM Lanang Premier, Davao City geared to raise funds to sup­port the med­i­cal ex­penses of in­di­gent chil­dren con­fined in the hospi­tal.

Ac­cord­ing to Dr. Aileen Elorde, head of SPMC sec­tion of Al­ler­gol­ogy and Im­munol­ogy, the event dubbed as, #YOUTHCONNECT: Rais­ing Smart and Good Chil­dren (How to help Young Peo­ple Suc­ceed in Life in the All-About-Me World) is ex­pected to gather 2,000 var­i­ous stake­hold­ers from dif­fer­ent sec­tors of the so­ci­ety.

The con­fer­ence is open to par­ents, com­mu­nity lead­ers, ed­u­ca­tors, and

health care providers to dis­cuss the press­ing is­sues con­fronting the youth nowa­days in the mod­ern age.

Dr. Michelle Borba from the United States of Amer­ica (USA), an in­ter­na­tion­ally ac­claimed speaker, will talk dur­ing the ac­tiv­ity.
